Position Summary:

Primarily responsible for managing all local store marketing opportunities in an assigned market.  Work closely with Communications and Field Marketing Manager to build programs designed to meet operation and catering sales goals and increase overall brand awareness in the local market. Provide ongoing Local Store Marketing (LSM) support to operations.  This is a full-time position based out of the Jacksonville area and will cover the region that spans from Ocala, FL to Georgia.

 

Position Responsibilities:

Sales/Brand Building Activates

  • Increase awareness of Tijuana Flats and help to drive customer traffic to locations within designated market.

  • Promote catering with goal of increasing catering business and meeting set sales goals.

  • Increase general brand awareness through distribution promotional items (i.e. lunch boxes, flyers, etc.).

  • Develop and manage relationships within the community (i.e. schools, youth sports programs, hospitals, colleges, chamber of commerce, etc.).

  • Work with Area Supervisors to comply with company marketing initiatives.

  • Build local Flathead data base.

  • Identify and manage cost effective local advertising opportunities.

 Special Event Planning/Support 

  •  Identify event opportunities in designated market and coordinate/execute all aspects of event.

  • Evaluate each event and provide reports/recommendations for future participation.

  • Manage coordination of special events at the store level (i.e. anniversary celebrations, live music events, spirit nights, etc.).

  • Responsible for booking, transportation and overall set up of special events trailer/equipment.

  • Attend, oversee and obtain pictures for all events.

 In-store Branding/Materials Management

  • Manage/fulfill any store or event specific collateral needs pending approval from Marketing Manager.

  • Assist in companywide campaign roll outs.

  • Enforce brand standards through area supervisor and insure that all company mandated marketing materials are in place and up to date.

 New Unit Opening Support

  • Assist as directed in promotion/execution of new unit openings utilizing NSO marketing plan.

  • Assist in organization of and attend store opening events. 

 Communication and Organizational Responsibilities

  • Work with AS to provide needed market support

  • Track and report on all activities to V.P. of Marketing and Marketing Manager

  • Participate in market GM/employee meetings.

  • Participate in and attend as directed all marketing department meetings/events.

  • Communication on all events to Area Supervisor, Marketing, etc.

 

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or a related field (PR, Communications, etc) OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Self-starter – can identify and pursue opportunities with little to no guidance from others

  • Ability to lead others through influence

  • Results oriented

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work as a strong team player in a challenging, fast-paced environment

  • Must be highly organized and have the ability to assess and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and constantly changing demands and schedules

  • General knowledge of Microsoft office (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel etc.).

  • Ability to work as a strong team player in a challenging, fast-paced environment

  • Experience with graphic design programs a plus

  • Hospitality, sales, or marketing experience a plus

  • Work environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate when in restaurant environment; however, occasional site work will require exposure to varying weather conditions and increase exposure to noise.

  • Travel: 80 % of time will be spent in respective stores, in some cases may require nights and weekends.
